ARBA Standard of Perfection

The body the length, depth, and width of the rabbit. It includes the shoulders, neck, bone, midsection and hindquarters. 

The midsection should meld with the shoulders and hindquarters. Hindquarters and hips should fit together. 

Faults: Pinched hips, lack of depth (low shoulders), and narrow shoulders.

The head should be round from the front and side. Bucks should have a bold head, that makes it easy to tell they are a buck.. Their head should develop fully by a year of age. Both genders should have width and and roundness, and lack length. 

Avoid breaks where the ears start. 

Faults: Flatness, pointed nose (Roman nose), and out of proportion (too small). 

The ears should be no longer then 2.5 inches. They should be open (width), round at the tip, set correctly, furred, held erect, and thick.

Faults: Thin, bent or bowed, lack of fur, ears scissored (lie flat), or shaped in a 'v'. 

The eyes should be round, bold, and bright. They should be large in proportion to the head. 

Faults: Small in proportion.

The tail (although it doesn't get points) should be short, welled proportioned to the body, and well furred. 

Faults: Narrow and long.

Coat is rollback. Should be soft, dense, and glossy. A molting coat is not desired for showing. 

Faults: Long coat, thin, poor texture, flyback fur, fading, breaking or signs of molt.

All colors are described in the handbook. 

Faults: Any miscoloring to the standard of the color.

Overall health of the rabbit. Cleaniness and fur and grooming included. 

Faults: Thin, fat, soft in flesh, in molt, or sickly.
